In the vibrant landscape of documentary filmmaking, Asia stands as a powerhouse of stories waiting to be told. Recognizing the richness of this creative tapestry, 8th edition of Dhaka DocLab beckons aspiring documentary filmmakers from Asia to submit their projects for consideration. Upcoming eighth edition of the lab will be held from 26 - 31 August this year. Filmmakers from different Asian countries will get the opportunity to submit their projects till 30 June.
Dhaka DocLab serves as a vital platform for filmmakers to showcase their works, regardless of the stage of development, whether it be the initial conceptualization, production, or even the rough cut phase. This inclusive approach ensures that voices from diverse backgrounds and experiences find representation and support. To submit a project, filmmakers are encouraged to visit the official Dhaka DocLab website (https://www.dhakadoclab.org/) and fill out the submission form provided. Only projects submitted through this online platform will be considered for the final selection phase. Dhaka DocLab not only provides a platform for filmmakers to share their stories but also fosters a sense of community and collaboration within the Asian documentary filmmaking landscape. Through workshops, networking events, and mentorship programs, participants have the opportunity to learn from industry veterans and forge meaningful connections that can propel their careers forward.
