We are excited to announce that the 9th edition of Dhaka DocLab will take place from 3rd to 9th August 2025, and submissions are now open for documentary projects from filmmakers across Asia. This year, projects can be submitted under two categories: Development and Work-in-Progress/Rough Cut. For the Development category, we will select approximately 15 to 16 projects that are in the early stages—whether at the idea, research, or initial production phase. For the Work-in-Progress/Rough Cut category, we will choose 4 to 5 projects that are at an advanced stage and ready for professional feedback to move toward completion. The submission deadline is 10th May 2025, so we encourage filmmakers to submit their projects as soon as possible.

Dhaka DocLab continues its mission to support the growth of Asian documentary filmmakers by offering a collaborative platform for creative development and professional networking. This year’s edition will include hands-on workshops, one-on-one mentorship sessions, and curated networking opportunities with fellow filmmakers and industry professionals. Whether you're an emerging voice or an experienced documentarian, this is a space to refine your craft, share your story, and build lasting connections.
